“All things work together for the good of those who love God”
(Romans 8:28)
We often overthink the endless outcomes of a situation. We fear that if we make a big mistake, it will lead to failure and shame. This mindset causes us to walk through life anxious and restless, carrying the heavy pressure of trying to account for every detail.
We struggle to simply let things unfold in their due time. Instead, we feel the need to predict every outcome and do our best to prevent mistakes. Deep down, it sounds like this: “I know I can’t control everything, but I must work out this situation to avoid errors and their consequences.”
Whether you’re facing a major decision or a small one, it’s vital to go to Jesus in prayer and seek wise counsel from your Christian community. When we step into new seasons or face challenges, it’s natural to feel anxious and worried.
Proverbs 11:14
14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
10 If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
12 Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
In this post, I will share what the Bible says about making decisions and give you reasons to rest in presence of God, knowing that He´s taking care of this situation and that He already knows what you´re going through.

YOU ARE MUCH VALUED BY GOD
Luke 12:6-7
6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. 7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Luke 12:22-31
22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. 24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! 25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life[b]? 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
27 “Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith! 29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. 30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.
Jesus calls us to seek His Kingdom above all else and not to worry about the future, because He is already there, taking care of us. Dear reader, worry will never add a single moment to your life—in fact, it will steal your present and trap you in overthinking things you cannot control.
If you’ve been praying about a decision but still don’t see the path ahead clearly, consider seeking counsel from your church community and trusted friends. God often uses wise voices around us to protect us from costly mistakes and painful consequences.
Take your time. I may not know what decision you are facing, but God does. And He has already said that you don’t need to be anxious about tomorrow. Instead, place your situation in His hands and trust that He is working on your behalf.
Remember: “All things work together for the good of those who love God” (Romans 8:28). No matter what decision lies before you, He will be with you. Pray earnestly, come before Him with a humble heart, and rest in His promises.
Even in the chaos of this world, Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). God has not abandoned you, and He is not finished with you yet. Trust that He is watching over your life. Bring your worries to the Father—He already knows what to do.
JESUS LOVES YOU
